Hari Raya AidiLfitri ceLebration

Last Monday, on the 12th October 2009, we celebrated the Hari Raya Aidilfitri in conjunction of Syawal 1430 Hijrah.. Earlier that day, the teachers, school staffs and pupils were busy preparing for the ‘open classes’..

At 9.00 a.m., the pupils were asked to line up and berziarah to Guru Besar and all teachers in the staffroom.. Later on, the pupils went berziarah from class to class, and then had their meals in their classes, while most of them went for Hari Raya to other classes.. The idea of ‘open classes’ was derived from our very own tradition of inviting our relatives and friends to our houses during Hari Raya which is famously known as ‘Open House’..

Colourful attire and delicious cakes were served in each class, and as an advantage of being in Kampong Rambai, as most of the villagers had their very own fruit orchards, tropical fruits were also served as desserts such as rambutan, langsat, tampoi and all-time favourite durian..
